16. Check this out! 告诉你喔!; 看看这个东西!

A: Check this out! I just now got a call asking about the bike ad I put in the newspapers.
A: 告诉你喔! 我刚刚接到一通询问有关我放在报纸上的那个脚踏车广告。
B: You mean somebody’s actually interested in that rusty old bike?
B: 你是说, 真的有人对那部生锈的旧脚踏车有兴趣啊!

"ad" 是"advertisement" 的简称, 在口语里面常见到。"Check this out!"也是句蛮常用的句子。当你要告诉别人一件事, 或要对方看一个东西的时候, 就可以用这句话来引起他的注意。当作「告诉你!」时, 用法跟"Guess what?"、"You know what?"、"You know something?"等的用法都差不多, 都是一些没有真正实际的意思的一些类似发语词的句子。


17. Count me in 把我也算进去; 我也要参加入

A: Jessica and I are looking for a good gym to join. Do you think
you’d be interested, too?
A: Jessica 跟我正在找个好的健身房来加入。你我没有兴趣呢?
B: Why not? Count me in.
B: 怎么会没有呢? 把我也算一份!
年轻一点的美国人中有不少喜欢上健身房, 让自己练出一些肌肉来。 尤其是男孩子, 如果练出个所谓的「洗衣板般的腹肌」(washboard abs), 是会引起很多女生的尖叫的。「运动」除了用"exercise" 这个字外, 还可以用"work out" 来表示。实际上在一般的日常对话里, 用 "work out" 的机率还大过 "exercise" 哩! "exercise" 反而是像医生之类的比较会用。如果要表示自
己一个礼拜运动三天, 就可以说:"I work out three times a week."。"count me in" 是「把我也算进去!」的意思, 也是蛮好的一个词组。毕竟 很多时候要和新认识的朋友熟络起来, 是要靠一些共同参与的活动来培养的。那么"Count me out." 应该是「我不想有份」的意思啰! 不过我想 "Count me out!" 还是用来对比较熟一点的朋友说吧! 不然听起来是不是比较无礼呢? 还是宛转地拒绝比较好一点喔!

18. Any time 不客气; 有事尽管开口

A: Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.
A: 谢谢你的帮忙, 我真的很感谢。
B: Any time.
B: 不客气!

当别人向我们道谢时, 我们除了可以用"You’re welcome."(不客气!)外, 还可以说"Sure."、"You bet." 或"You bet you."等等, 都有「哪里!」、「应该的」的意思。也
有人会用"Any time.", 意思是「不客气! 有事随时开口。」的意思。, 可以把它想成是
"Any time you need anything, just let me know. You’re very welcome."。


19. Good luck to you ! 祝你好运(顺利)!

A: I have a job interview with Nintendo tomorrow.
A: 我明天跟 Nintendo 公司有个工作面谈。
B: That’s wonderful! Good luck to you. I’m sure you’re going to do extremely well.
B: 那真是太好了!祝你顺利! 我相信你一定会作得很好的。

"Good luck." 是蛮好用的一句话。像是朋友要找工作、找房子, 都可以用这句话。好比"
Good luck to you on the test."就是「祝你考试顺利!」的意思。


20. Stay in touch. 保持联络!

A: It’s getting late. I’d better get going.
A: 晚了。我该走了。
B: All right. Stay in touch and take care of yourself.
B: 好的! 保持联络, 好好照顾自己。
"stay and touch"跟"keep in touch"都是「保持联络」的意思。
